Art commission – drawings especially for you

Do you have a photo you would like to turn into a drawing?

If so, you are on the right place. A hand made drawing is a unique piece, made just for you. It’s great, if you wish to surprise someone with a special gift. How to order art commission?

In order to discuss a commission (at no obligation) please send an email to me. Use this email address: artcommission@evyseclectic.com. In the email, please let me know when you would like to have the ready drawing. Given I make hand drawings, time is a very important part of the process. Let me know the subject(s), the dimensions and also how many drawings you would like to order. I will get back to you as soon as possible to fix the details and get the reference photos to start the commission.

Accepting the commission order is not granted

Reasons for rejection may be:

too short time frame
no more spots for commission
incompatible ideas of the commissioner and the artist

Before starting the work, you will get a commission contract with the detailed terms. Reading and signing the art commission contract is necessary.

Please keep in mind that at this point I make only graphite pencil commissions. Head and shoulders portraits with no detailed background. Graphite pencil on paper. Black and white drawings with the possibility of adding a bit of toning (colouring) later if requested (for example adding some colour for the eye/lip or a tone for the background). My art style is making the drawing with graphite pencil first. It’s black and white and after -if requested- adding some colours. It means, that you may see the graphite under the colour. The colours may not be clear and/or strong. You can see some examples in the reference gallery below.

Payment

Once we agreed about the reference photo, the size, the timeframe, you read and signed the commission agreement and the commission order is placed, a 30% deposit is required. When the sketch is ready, I’ll get in touch with you again with a WIP (work in progress) photo of the sketch. That’s the proof that the work has started and that’s when the next 30% payment is required. As soon as the artwork is ready, I’ll get in touch with you again and send LOW RESOLUTION, watermarked photos about the art work. When the drawing is approved by the customer, prior to delivery, the remaining balance will need to be paid. When the price is paid, your unique art work will be delivered.

Important: The customer has the right to not purchase commissioned artwork at any time. Please note that ANY MONEY ALREADY PAID BEFORE REFUSAL, WILL NOT BE REFUNDED TO THE CUSTOMER UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES.
